Chunghwa Telecom, Taiwan's largest telecommunications company, was seeking to create a comprehensive disaster recovery solution for its IPTV and over-the-top (OTT) networks. The company had two geo-redundant data centers in Taipei and Tainan, servicing customers in the northern and southern regions respectively. The challenge was to achieve multiple layers of geographic redundancy, allowing each regional data center to failover to its respective backup regional data center, without any failover between the northern and southern regions. Each distinct user base was to be managed independently, but with synchronization of all content ingestion occurring in the northern data centers, then being synchronized with southern data centers. The company also needed to ensure that each of the data centers could failover transparently to the end subscriber in the event of a major failure or natural disaster.

In November 2016, Econet Media selected the Verimatrix VCAS platform to secure its Kwesé TV satellite-delivered DTH service. With an emphasis on premium live sports content, revenue security was a major consideration. In September 2017, Econet launched the Kwesé Play streaming TV service in South Africa, featuring Netflix through an exclusive partnership. The next phase aimed to offer multi-screen TV Everywhere services to its DTH subscribers, requiring adaptive bit rate streaming and content security for various OTT devices.

Cablevisión Argentina was determined to solve all challenges faced by digital TV operators in the Latin America region: Offering a high quality, seamless viewing experience powered by expert user-interface features and a personalized recommendations engine. Harmonizing subscriber access rights across different networks, screens and locations thereby enabling a frictionless user experience. Conforming to stringent licensing conditions for premium content and preventing unlawful content access.

Swisscom, a leading telecom provider in Switzerland, faced the challenge of upgrading its existing IPTV service to meet the growing demands of its customers. The company needed to enhance the user experience, provide more content, and support multi-screen viewing.
