The company has an extensive background in time-critical delivery and expedited shipments going back to 2012. Much of their work included high-dollar mission-critical shipments for the energy industry, such as flatbed deliveries of oil rig equipment. As they grew their expedited business in 2019 and 2020, they expanded their relationships in airfreight and continued to see strong growth despite the disruptions from the pandemic. Taimen can pick up a shipment anywhere in America in 90 minutes or less. Their reputation as a “can-do, get it done” logistics provider enabled by industry-leading technology – Turvo – brought opportunity inbound.

Taimen Transport LLC, a rapidly growing logistics company, had previously implemented Turvo, a cloud-based collaborative logistics platform, which became a mission-critical part of their business. As Taimen grew, Turvo increased their productivity by over 400% and improved their communication with customers. However, with the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, Taimen faced a new challenge. Vaccines were authorized for emergency use and needed to be transported across the country. The success of the cold chain was critical, and failure was not an option. Taimen was called upon to handle this critical task.

Taimen leveraged Turvo’s platform to unite their systems & data, collaborate more effectively, and future-proof their business. The platform provided actionable visibility, live tracking, fast carrier onboarding, carrier management, and advanced analytics. With the Turvo Driver App, individual trucks could be tracked in real-time. Tracking information could be easily shared with anyone through public tracking links. With integration to RMIS, Taimen could onboard a new carrier and have them ready to move a shipment in about 20 minutes. Once onboarded, managing carriers in Turvo allowed Taimen to track performance and develop great carrier partners. Turvo Analytics helped Taimen to understand and optimize their business, and share that information with their customers, creating a level of transparency and trust that continued to drive new opportunities for them.

Hospital Inventory Management
The hospital supply chain team is responsible for ensuring that the right medical supplies are readily available to clinicians when and where needed, and to do so in the most efficient manner possible. However, many of the systems and processes in use at the cancer center for supply chain management were not best suited to support these goals. In order to address the challenges outlined above, the hospital sought a solution that would provide real-time inventory information with high levels of accuracy, reduce the level of manual effort required and enable data driven decision making to ensure that the right supplies were readily available to clinicians in the right location at the right time.
