RoverPass is a platform that simplifies the search and reservation process for campers and RVers. The platform allows users to input their destination and find RV parks and campsites. Users can also request reservations directly through RoverPass, eliminating the need to track down each destination's email or phone number. RoverPass aims to reduce the time spent finding a destination, allowing users to spend more time on their adventures. The platform lists over 20,000 campsites and RV parks, and at any given time, hundreds of campers are on RoverPass to book, cancel, or pay for reservations.
RoverPass, a platform that simplifies the search and reservation process for campers and RVers, was facing a significant challenge in keeping their team informed. With over 20,000 campsites and RV parks listed on their platform, tracking all the activities such as bookings, cancellations, and payments manually was proving to be a daunting task. The team had to deal with a multitude of tasks including notifying sales reps of new opportunities, handling failed payments, and communicating with partners. The process was not only time-consuming but also prone to errors and inefficiencies. The challenge was to create an efficient workflow that would automate the notification process and keep the team updated in real-time.
RoverPass turned to Zapier, an app automation tool, to streamline their notification process. They built several 'Zaps' or bridges between two or more apps to automate their notifications and keep their team informed. For instance, when an RV park or campsite contacts RoverPass to claim their site's page, they respond through Wufoo. Zapier then takes the relevant information from the form and sends it to Slack, helping the sales team prioritize their responses to site owners. Similarly, by pairing Stripe with Slack, RoverPass is notified the moment a payment completes, whether it's successful or fails. In case of a bad payment, Zapier sends the payer's information to Slack, providing RoverPass with the information they need at their fingertips. When ScheduleOnce receives a cancellation request, Zapier sends the RoverPass sales team a message in Slack, enabling them to reach out to the customer to try and reschedule their booking.
