About The Customer
Quiet Logistics is the first Fulfillment to Consumer (F2C) provider that delivers a complete outsourced solution leveraging the game-changing material handling robotics of Kiva Systems to some of the eCommerce industry's fastest-growing eTailers. The company's Consumer Driven Fulfillment (CDF) services were specifically developed to respond to the rising expectations of today's online consumers, brands, and eTailers. The service levels associated with Consumer Driven fulfillment require advanced technology and robotics. Quiet Logistics developed a unique operating platform that allows multiple customers (or tenants) to leverage a common robotic infrastructure.
The Challenge
Quiet Logistics, a Fulfillment to Consumer (F2C) provider, needed a solution to integrate various eTailer client systems with their own Fulfillment Management System (FMS) without altering internal or external business processes. Each client had a unique system and process, making custom code an unscalable and unmanageable option. The company required an easy, yet powerful integration platform to standardize these processes. The challenge was to onboard new eTailers with unique systems and business processes without requiring custom integration. The maintenance of the system also needed to be simple.
The Solution
Quiet Logistics chose Jitterbit for its features and functionality that provided a platform on which to standardize client integration. The graphical interface made onboarding new eTailers easy and completely seamless. Jitterbit is used to integrate the pick-and-pack processes with client applications using web services, giving their eTailers a complete view of orders. In addition, Quiet Logistics uses Jitterbit to build EDI messages that are transmitted to the customers of the eTailers. Jitterbit provides the backbone for Quiet Logistics’ agile, transparent, and customer-driven warehouse management services. The solution involved near real-time synchronization of Quiet FMS with disparate client applications through web services messaging. Jitterbit was used to transform orders into EDI messages and sent to customers of eTailers.
Operational Impact
  • Standard platform for multiple client integration.
  • Business processes are unchanged, providing transparent integration.
  • Quick on-boarding of new clients, and easy management of existing integration processes.
Quantitative Benefit
  • No additional costs are passed onto client for integration.
