The Challenge
Guardsman Group, a leading security company in the Caribbean, faced a significant challenge in maintaining the security of its digital infrastructure. The company provides security equipment, personnel, and systems for various businesses across the region. However, one of its offices experienced a security incident that affected all communications at that location. The existing security tools were not sufficient to provide the necessary protection, and it took hours to identify the source of the issue. This incident highlighted the need for a dynamic solution that could proactively identify threats. The Solution

In addition, Guardsman benefits from Darktrace's 24/7 Proactive Threat Notification service, which provides an additional layer of protection by sending alerts directly from a Darktrace Security Operations Center analyst to Guardsman's IT team when incidents indicative of a serious, emerging attack are identified.
Operational Impact

The company now has enhanced visibility into its environment and can proactively identify threats. The self-learning AI technology provides autonomous protection, responding to machine-speed attacks before they can cause damage. Guardsman's IT team manages the AI deployment from Darktrace's user interface, the Threat Visualizer, on a daily basis. If they ever have an issue, they have the rapid support of Darktrace's award-winning Customer Success and Proactive Threat Notification service. This support gives Guardsman the feeling of having an extra member on its team. The company's General Manager of Risk, Compliance, and IT, Damian Blair, has stated that Darktrace's AI has been critical to them and that he does not feel the need to utilize additional personnel for threat hunting because Darktrace's technology fills that role.
